Headed to Carlson Software's Go West 2022 user conference? Check out IntelliCAD while you're there—many Carlson products are based on the IntelliCAD engine. Go West 2022 is April 4-6, 2022 in Denver, Colorado, US. The most recent update of CMS IntelliCAD 10.1 includes the ability to compare .dwg files. When you compare drawings, CMS IntelliCAD 10.1 highlights all two-dimensional changes such as deletions, additions, and modifications.

The latest maintenance release of CMS IntelliCAD 10.1 also includes enhancements to visual styles and other improvements. Users of CMS IntelliCAD 10.1 PE, 10.1 PE PLUS, and 10.1 PE PLUS Network can freely download and install the maintenance update.

ActCAD 2022 Prime, Professional, and Standard versions include new features and enhanced commands. To get the latest ActCAD 2022 maintenance release, ActCAD users can upgrade to the latest version 1267 using the ActCAD command CHECKFORUPDATES. The new maintenance version is available for ActCAD 2022 Prime, Professional, and Standard.

Available in 64- and 32-bit, ActCAD is a native .dwg and .dxf CAD software program used for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. ActCAD is based on the IntelliCAD engine. FineFIRE is the BIM standard for fire fighting design; it faces projects of any kind or scale in an easy, fast and reliable way according to all the latest standards. As shown in the IntelliCAD 10.1 DevCast videos, here are project examples implemented by FineFIRE:

FineFIRE considers all the parameters of the physical and functional characteristics of a sprinkler network to support smart network modeling, identification of clashes between other MEP installations, quick exploration of alternative viable options, extraction of a Bill of Materials, and overall easy collaboration and sharing of information between designers and constructors. More specifically, FineFIRE:

• Combines a state-of-the-art BIM technology on top of IntelliCAD, allowing the user to design piping networks faster and easier.
• Ensures full compatibility with Autodesk® Revit®, Graphisoft® Archicad®, Nemetschek® Vectorworks®, Google® SketchUp Pro®, or equivalent.
• Allows you to work with any type of piping network (tree systems, gridded, looped, etc.).
• Places sprinklers automatically, considering building hazards and the type of sprinklers.
• Performs a detailed hydraulic simulation for the highest accuracy in network sizing, considering the equipment technical characteristics (i.e., pump curves/diagrams).
• Generates the exact quantity of project materials along with their costs.
• Provides a fully documented final printout with calculation reports and a set of drawings in 2D and 3D.
• Supports all existing standards (NFPA13 American Standard, EN 12845, BS9251, AS2118, ASIB11, FM GLOBAL, CEA 4001, etc.).

ZWCAD 2022 SP2 is available for download, including an enhanced smart plot feature, new data types and data links for tables, and improved all-around efficiency.

ActCAD 2022 is now available based on the recently released IntelliCAD 10.1a engine. Users of ActCAD 2022 Professional and Standard can upgrade to the latest version 1209 using the ActCAD command CHECKFORUPDATES. 

The updated ActCAD focuses on improvements to existing features, but also includes a handful of new features: new EXTRIM, LAYERMERGE, and TABLEIMPORT commands; import Microsoft® Excel® files; work with table data links, formulas, and cell formats; synchronize block attributes; and nudge entities using keyboard shortcuts. The Professional version also includes new Planar Surface and Convert to NURBS commands.

With ActCAD Professional and Standard, you can natively create and edit .dwg files for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. ActCAD includes global perpetual licenses and has several licensing options.

The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) today announced the release of IntelliCAD 10.1a.

IntelliCAD 10.1a is a maintenance release for version 10.1 that was previously issued on August 17, 2021.

IntelliCAD maintenance releases concentrate on fixes, but IntelliCAD 10.1a also contains these new features: import Microsoft® Excel® files; new capabilities when working with tables including data links, formulas, and cell formats; synchronize block attributes; and nudge entities using keyboard shortcuts. Many improvements are also found in the areas of publishing and sheet sets.

For IntelliCAD versions that work with Spatial ACIS solids, create planar surfaces and convert entities to NURBS surfaces.

David Lorenzo, ITC President, stated, “CAD users are appreciating the fast performance of IntelliCAD 10.1 which was released a few months ago, and IntelliCAD 10.1a continues with the new speed benchmarks while incorporating feedback received from our members. IntelliCAD 10.1a is supported on Microsoft® Windows® 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7 64-bit versions. IntelliCAD Mobile Viewer versions are available for Windows desktop, Google® Android™, Apple® macOS® and iOS.
