Earlier this year, the GenieBelt blog announced their top picks for construction software. In the Design category, progeCAD—based on IntelliCAD and developed by ITC member ProgeSOFT—ranks as one of the 2017 Best Construction Software choices. 

ProgeSOFT further summarized that progeCAD is built to "help professionals in the construction industry in drawing and design of building projects as well as in technical documentation management, not forgetting significant improvements in collaboration with both team members and external clients."

Portland, OR, USA, April 3, 2017 — The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) announced the release of IntelliCAD 8.3a.

IntelliCAD 8.3a is a maintenance release that contains close to 300 improvements and fixes since the IntelliCAD 8.3 release on December 28, 2016.

IntelliCAD 8.3a includes performance improvements, fixes for natively working with .dgn files, printing fixes, editing fixes, and more. Also included are enhancements to the new in-place multiline text editor that was released last year, including paragraph alignment, symbols, alt-codes, stacked text, numbered lists, and unnumbered lists.

AcceliCAD 2017 was recently released by ITC member Autodsys. AcceliCAD — based on IntelliCAD — is affordable CAD drawing software designed for architects, engineers, designers, and anyone else who works with CAD. Here are a few of the new features included in the new version:

• Export 3D .pdf files; export .bmp files
• Attach underlays
• Create and edit text using a new in-place multiline text editor
• Maximize and minimize viewports

FRAMECAD Ltd. is working with the Red Cross to rebuild the Vunikaikaloa Arya School in Fiji, which was destroyed last year by a cyclone. The FRAMECAD system, built with IntelliCAD, can be used to quickly construct safe buildings after an environmental disaster and is being used to rebuild the school.

The ITC automated test system is one of the many ITC technologies that members can leverage and incorporate into their own development systems. The robust framework builds IntelliCAD multiple times a day and runs over 25 million verified tests daily on those installable builds. There are unit tests, regression tests, API tests, roundtrip tests, visual comparison tests, and performance tests. All data is fed automatically into Overall Health Index dials, like the one pictured here.

ZWCAD has won the Top Builder Award 2016 in Poland. This is the sixth year that ZWCAD has been awarded the title. 

ZWCAD is CAD software developed by ITC member ZWSOFT and is based on the IntelliCAD engine.

FRAMECAD Mobile Factory and its Light Gauge Steel construction was evaluated by the US Navy for disaster relief and humanitarian assistance. A reduction in construction time by two-thirds and a reduction in required workforce by one half were just some of the benefits initially reported.
